Kevin T. A. Preston, B.A., (HONS.), LL.B.
Kevin is a resident of Glovertown and grew up in St. John’s where he attended Memorial University and graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy having won the Gold Medal for Academic Excellence. He received his Law Degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax in 1987. Since 1989 he has worked with this Law Firm. Kevin serves clients in all areas of the Province focusing his practice in three main areas, (a) Personal Injury Law; (b) Criminal Defence work; and, (c) Fisheries and Wildlife Defence work.
For over 11 years from 1991 to 2002, Kevin was a Federal Crown Prosecutor providing him with an excellent working knowledge of the Fisheries Act and Regulations among other Federal Laws before devoting himself to representing clients as Defence Counsel. He also has extensive Appeal work experience at all levels of the Appeal Courts.
Kevin understands how a personal injury can turn a person’s world upside down and has been working in this area of the law for over 20 years. He is an active member of the Atlantic Province’s Trial Lawyers Association, promoting the rights of injured persons in their quest for fair compensation. He has achieved successful outcomes for clients in a wide spectrum of cases from minor injuries to serious permanent disabilities, gaining substantial compensation for his clients. He prides himself on his good working relationship with his clients and in serving them in their own communities.
