Fiona Innes, B.A., LL.B.

Fiona is a native of St. John's. After she graduated from Beaconsfield High School, she attended Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Political Science and a minor in French. Fiona then worked in Ottawa for several years as a Special Assistant to the former Minister for International Trade and then as a Special Assistant and Assistant Press Secretary to the former Minister of Fisheries and Oceans.

In 1995, Fiona attended Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, where she received a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1998. Following law school, Fiona articled with the law firm of Hodgson, Parker in Toronto, Ontario, and was called to the Ontario Bar in February 2000.

Following her call to the Bar and until June 2005, Fiona was employed as an associate with the law firm of Parker & Company in Toronto where she primarily practiced in the areas of family law and estate litigation, administration and planning.

On June 17, 2005, Fiona was called to the Bar of Newfoundland and Labrador. She also remains a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada. Fiona joined Easton Hillier Lawrence Preston as an associate in July 2005 and carries on a general practice with the firm.
